Benefits of being a Training Series Pass Holder:
Scoring goals will be the main priority in this class. Shooting mechanics will be reviewed in detail and players will be taught various techniques including shooting for power and accuracy, volleying, and one-time finishes off the cross or pass. Players will be exposed to game-like situations when opponents are introduced and high pressure finishing is in demand.

The Goalkeeper Series will provide goalkeepers with the fundamental techniques and understanding of the position while also introducing them to more advanced ideas as they progress.
Players will receive the instruction needed to improve and maintain their technical skills while also testing their decision making in game-like situations. Themes taught in this class include footwork, ball handling, shot-stopping, communication, organization, fitness, and positional sense.
AGES: Boys & Girls 7-14 (Players grouped based on ability and age)
TIMES: 5:30 PM (Age 7-10) / 6: 45 PM (Age 11-14)
Total Training Classes are designed to enhance overall performance. This course will focus on all aspects of the game including first touch, dribbling techniques, passing and finishing with both attacking and defending covered in detail.
This technical training will be taught through Coerver Training, an internationally renowned method of training made famous by Wiel Coerver from Holland.

Originating and mastered in Brazil, Futsal promotes proper technique and accelerated skill development in soccer. A concept of soccer, futsal differs from the traditional game and instead follows a 5v5 format on a smaller, hard-surfaced field.
Players are given the tools to get out of tight situations by developing their footwork and decision making. Players will learn to play quickly in tight spaces, move into space, and build a better overall awareness for the game.
WEDNESDAYS: April 6, 13, 20 / May 4, 11, 18, 26 / June 1
TIMES: 5:30-6:45 PM (Ages 7-10) and 6:45-8:00 PM (Ages 11-14)
Ball Mastery classes aid in developing soccer specific footwork and techniques that will improve ball control, passing and moving, technical speed, coordination, agility, and balance.
Skills, Moves and Fast Footwork
Teaches feints, moves and basic skills essential in developing confidence and mastery with the ball. A major focus of the class is the application of Fast Footwork in 1 v 1 situations. A portion of each class will be dedicated to speed, agility, coordination and balance through various drills with and without a soccer ball.
THURSDAYS: April 7, 14, 21 / May 5, 12, 19, 26 / June 2
SESSION: Eight (8) One Hour, 15 Minute Classes
Futsal Camps promote proper technique and accelerated skill development. This Brazilian way of soccer has been instrumental in the development of some of the best players in the world. Players must learn to control the ball cleanly, dribble rapidly, shield effectively, pass quickly and move into space. Futsal is played on a small field where players are constantly under pressure.

Purpose -To allow every Long Island Rough Riders and Globall Sports participant, age 18 and under, the opportunity to participate in activities regardless of household financial conditions. The scholarship program was developed to lower the cost of opportunities for children whose families have demonstrated financial needs.Who Qualifies? - Any Long Island Rough Riders or Globall Sports participant youth age 18 and under who meets the family income guidelines (see Table 1 below) and whose parent/guardian submits the scholarship application along with proper documentation. Scholarship Requirements
Application Process 1. Complete the scholarship application form, which must be signed by a parent/guardian. You must provide copies of the following where applicable: 2 current consecutive pay stubs, W-2 Form, DSS Form, SSI Form, Social Security, Unemployment Statements, Child Support Order and all 1099 forms.2. Attach Proof of Residency: copy of current driver’s license, state-issued identification card, tax bill or voter’s registration card.3. The Long Island Rough Riders Staff will contact you in writing within two weeks with the results of your application.4. Scholarship application approval will be based on verification of financial need and availability of scholarship funds. Other Important Information
* Total family annual income from all sources before deductions for taxes, insurance premiums, bonds and other employee deductions.• Scholarships cover the activity registration/program fee only, not uniform/costume costs.
Confidentiality - Long Island Rough Riders Recreation Commission will use the information on the application only to decide if your child qualifies to receive a partial scholarship for eligible athletic activities. Confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Applicants are guaranteed that personal finances will not be discussed outside of the department management. Coaches, instructors or program leaders will not be informed of a participant’s financial or scholarship status.
